‘Valerian at Lulworth Cove’
I’m really pleased with the colours of this one – the turquoise sea and pink flowers are my favourite! I hope you like it! I love visiting Lulworth Cove and especially having a Chai Latte from the cafe on the beach…. So lovely and so lucky to live so close by.
A friend and I had fun taking photos of some of my new paintings. We created a summer vibe which didn’t quite match up with the rain and wind that was going on outside. It was fun though and I quite like the images…
I’ve been working on a selection of large harbour paintings lately. I’ve spent a lot of my life walking around beautiful coastal towns so it seems like an obvious choice for a new batch of work. Some of the paintings have already gone to Azure in Sidmouth but I am hoping to keep creating more as they sell!
This is a painting of a walk I love to do with the dog and because I can just about manage the whole walk with the pushchair. It’s mainly passable on the track around the woods. It was a walk I did a lot when we weren’t able to travel far away from home during Covid. It has special memories for me as my second son Olly was born 3 years ago at a very strange time and it gave me peace being amongst the trees and nature with him.
I’ve just delivered 3 big paintings down to Azure Gallery in Sidmouth. One is this floral painting which my son is standing in front of. He is also holding a new Regatta painting which has also been sent to the gallery.
These usually sell pretty quickly so I’m hoping to get some more painted soon.

It’s been a successful Christmas for us and we have thankfully all stayed well.
This year I am planning on creating lots of lovely new work where and when I get a chance. My second child Olly will be 2 in March and Toby 5 in June. They are so lovely but as a full time Mum take up most of my hours in each day! I do my best to create around them but feel over the next few years I will be able to grab more time for myself and my work.
Thank you for all the support and to everyone that has purchased work from me over the years. I can’t describe how worthwhile it makes my life feel when something I have created goes into someone’s home to add colour and interest to their homes. X
I’ve recently completed a few commissions which I really enjoyed doing and it’s always exciting to see the end result. I’ve just started a large scale piece (the biggest canvas I have ever worked on) I’ve put down the base colour and now I’ve got to add the detail and floral foreground which I love doing the most. X
